When I measure should I straighten out my curve? If i flatten out my penis I am at about 7.25 BPEL. However if i measured how far out it was with the curve it would be much less. Which is the correct way?

I measure mine flattened out, when zoo keepers measure snakes how do they do it. Dont worry, its not cheating. I have a slight curve and I lose about 1/2 an inch untill I flatten it out.
Just do it the same way every time because gains are the real reason to measure, hope that helps.

Either way is correct but whatever way you decide to go with make sure you measure tha way everytime to know if you're making progress.
When fully erect mine is too hard to straighten out. It would break. That's why when I'm 80% hard I actually measure the same as when fully erect.

how would you flatten a curve measuring erect length? do you mean like using a flexible ruler or something?
I use a tape measure because like the other poster I cannot straighten it while fully erect. I will give measureing at 80% a try and comparing to 100% with the tape.

I tried both ways and mine came out pretty much the same. Just make sure you measure it the same way each time. Otherwise, you'll drive yourself crazy.

The difference for me is ~0.4 inches (1 cm).
