So I'm on the end of week 2 with my X4, and I had a question regarding tension.

For reference purposes:
12:00 = upwards pointing towards your face
3:00 = straight out, like an erection
6:00 = downwards pointing towards your feet

When I put the device on, I adjust the tension at a 3:00 position so it gets to the 2nd tension bar (1200 grams). When I point it downwards to the 6:00 position (concentrating on length gains), the tension seems to decrease and gets closer to the first tension bar (900 grams). When I bring it back to 3:00, the tension goes back to the 2nd bar (1200 grams).

Is this normal? If not, what's the cause? How do I correct this?

Thanks all!

This is perfectly normal. It occurs because the base of the device changes it's position slightly when you adjust your extender. Happens to me all the time, I just readjust the tension to accommodate my new position. Also I'm not sure if it matters or not but 95% of the time I've seen people use the other side of the clock when referring to their positions (6,7,8,9,10,11,12). If there's no technical purpose behind this I'd still follow suit if I were you, just to avoid confusion. Btw I am using the X4 as well!

I can barely stand wearing mine. I've only had it a couple weeks, but nomatter how I try to adjust it, I can never get good tension. It always holds it out but dont seem to stretch it very good?

Add an additional length of rod on each side, then see how it "fits".

Thanks, that is much better. Guess I wasnt giving myself enough credit. I also have another question if you dont mind, but maybe this will help others as well. Are my glands supposed to get cold and purple or am I doing it wrong? If I go looser it slips, but turning cold and purple is pretty scary. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's not a good sign man. Have you been able to get a good "head swell" while wearing it? What program are you using. I'm trying to find a good one for me so I can start my extending. Thanks!

You need to build up/get acclimated over time. To get used to fastening in, is best done at low levels of "pull" or tension. You have to allow time for the circulatory structure of the penis to change, and trying to fasten in tightly so you can crank up the pull will result in what you see, cold & purple. Best not to be in a hurry.
Maybe the first month, all you can tolerate is 30 minute sessions at less than 600 grams. Maybe the 2nd month, you can tolerate 50 minutes at slightly more grams. You'll need to discover what you can do/tolerate.

Dangler,

I saw on other forums that a little cold/purple on the glans is to be expected with an extender (especially with head swell), but to watch out for your glans going numb.

Personally, I'll get a little cold/purple, but when I notice it starts to go numb (I check by lightly scraping my fingernail on the glans), I'll loosen the straps a bit to get a little blood pumping down there, but I don't loosen enough to lose my head swell or deal with slippage. So far I haven't had any issues, as when I take the extender off, the glans returns to normal. I also make sure to never exceed 2 hours at one time (This week is 4 hours a day at 1200 tension, so I do 2 hours, take a break, do 2 more hours)

I sure hope I'm not wrong here in how I'm using the extender.

p.s. sorry for replying late here, had finals this week so the internet was strictly for studying :(

Hi guys.
I am using X4 Deluxe. After some measurements I figured out that three tension marks in fact indicate the following tension: 1200g/2400g/~3500g! Why it is not 1500g at max as noted in X4 Deluxe product description? Could it be that they refer to 1500g of force for each of two springs, so that total force is 2x times greater? Did anyone check his X4 device's actual tension?

I measured it by placing weights from my dumbbell on top of extender and shaked it a little to make sure rods do not stuck. So, measurement precision is quite good to be sure about 3500g force.
