Hey guys, I have been hanging on and off for about 2 months only, and the fact that my penis starts to change in temperature (colder) at about 10-15 minutes is getting frustrating. It has effectively turned my 20min sets into 10 min sets. This takes so much time when I want a total hang time of 60 minutes, so when you factor in the breaks... thats like 2 hours, as opposed to doing 3 20 min sets, i have to do 6 10min ones.

I haven't figured it out for the life of me, but I dislike how the cable clamp can only attach at one point around my wrap. This doesn't effectively distribute the pressure at all and I assume that it is cutting off circulation.

Do any of you guys perhaps have tips to fix this?

Use another hanger? There are lots of hanger designs and options on this website. Saiyan is pushing a pipe clamp he adapted from a Home Depot product. There is a PVC repair clamp that another poster suggested, The Captain's wench and muzzle hanger, etc; and the tried and true BIB, in commercial variations and home made.

I am not hanging right now and focusing on maximizing gains from an extender, but I would think if the cable clamp isn't enough or doesn't apply enough surface area to really grab, then you need to explore other options in hanging; and there are really lots of them out there. You might also try two or three cable clamps against your hanger to see whether that helps.

Another possibility, as well as spreading the area of the clamp a little more, is to reduce the hanging weight. Yes, I know that might not be popular, but I kept on increasing the weight as quickly as I could. I got up to 8 1/2 pounds and by then I could only hang for 15 minutes at a time. It was just too heavy. Now I am using just 2 1/2 pounds but I can safely hang for around 45 minutes without too much blueness. There's no water retention at all now (it used to be quite a limiting factor). Best of all, I am making some good progress again now, after many months of stagnation. So in my experience it's better to hang for longer but with less weight.

Another thing that might help E_Weazy is that it is definitely important to hang consistently, say every weekday with the weekends off. When I had to take lots of breaks from hanging I got no progress at all.

I use two clamps. It helps some but is not the best. I can normally get 20 minutes at 12.5 pounds although my glans are cods but not completely numb at the end of 20 minutes. I am cut, but my problem is my shaft is too short and the clamps ride down close to the glans leaving a "color" (sim9lar to a small doughnut effect) of foreskin between the clamps and the corona which tends to swell up on my second session.

I can only hang for one hour three days a week, which is the only time my wife is out of the house. I do use an extender for 4 - 5 hours a day (2 hours on hanging days). Will the fact that I am also extending make up for the limited hanging time that I have available?

dsmall: I do know of many of the other option for hangers. But as of now, I would like to see what I can do with this first before trying out other options. Also, I don't have a car where I go to school now, so going around down finding all these materials is a PIA. It took me quite awhile before I found the cable clamp already, and I can only imagine other ones such as the Captain's Wench is going to be even more difficult to hunt down.

Jonoclouds: Hmm, I am already using pretty low weight, and no matter how much weight I put on, it always cuts of circulation at the same time. Even when I use an ADS bandage wrap which was wrapped just light enough to hold a elongated stretch, I couldn't keep it on for more than 30 minutes before my glans started getting cold.

When I mean on and off, I mean I took a month off during finals, as I spent most of my day studying. When I was actively hanging, I hanged for 1-2hrs everyday, no rest as per Bib's theory. Never did I feel fatigued, but the stretch sure was strong, and my EQ was not greatly effected negatively.

not2big: My shaft isn't hat long either, and I sometimes get that pinch of skin by the glans since I am cut as well, but never have I had the doughnut effect so I am lucky I guess. I've also fancied trying to wrap at different sections on my shaft, 1 inch from glans, further away, even closer to the glans, but all results in the same effect (cold glans in 20 mins).

Other solutions: you can try the AFB hanger, sock hanger, muzzle hanger, or another type & see if that helps.

I think professional hanging devices are best (e.g. the bib hanger), but if you're on a budget you can stick with home-made hangers.

There's a list of home-made hangers in my progress journal (the first page). There's a link to it in my signature.

Otherwise, you can keep experimenting and try to figure out hanger / wrap settings that work for you.

Thanks Blink for dropping a message, was hoping to hear from our resident hanger encyclopedia.

I figured an interesting wrap job, involving a wrap near glans and at the base, with a criss-cross pattern mid shaft. By doing this and localizing most of the bandage near the glans, instead of making the function of the bandage to provide a thicker area for my clamp to attach, i now clamp at the less dense criss-cross area. By doing this, I use the bulkier wrapped area by the glans as a "stopper" to hold my clamp back. This has effectively given me about 5-10 extra minutes for me, which I find is a drastic gain.

For now I'll keep using my home made, I'll be graduated in 2 years, and hope to move out. If I have not hit 8x5.5-6 by then, I will probably get a bib hanger for convenience sake.

You can just order a muzzle off of E-bay if getting around is too hard. You already have like 90% of the things you need in order to hang with the muzzle hanger.

thanks millia for the suggestion, but as a student I am pretty tight on money right now. Trying to first alter what I have, but if it comes to investing in new equipment, I am going to just save up for a BiB hanger.

I'm a full time student as well as employee as well. I was an on call employee not that long ago so I understand what it means to be low on resources, but in all honesty a muzzle from e-bay is only a meager >$15, just saying!

If you do go for the muzzle hanger, I'd suggest a size 2. I got the size 1 and it's definitely too small.

It cost me a whopping 6~ bucks lol

Different brands use different sizing. I was searching online and found some examples....
E.g
Brand A, Size 1 =4.25"
Brand B, Size 1 =3"
Brand C, Size S =5.5-6.3"

Just research the brands you see and look for the right size for you.

I am going to buying one this weekend, seems the best and cheapest hanger right now. Available at all pet stores. :D
Should take about 2mins to make, i have the other parts from my captn wench(which took around 45mins to make).

Good luck hanging.
