A friend of my cousin who drives a lot with his work told me the other day about a woman in the town he was working in that was well known locally for living with a dog! No, not a man who slept about but an actual canine!!! She had chosen to have a relationship with an actual dog and said that she didnt bother with men! He went on to say that there was a name for this and that a lot of women actually had sexual relationships with dogs and not with humans and actually had love for their dogs! Im not sure if he was trying to wind me up or not but has anyone here heard of such rubbish and is it true? If so what are your thoughts on this??

Im sure we have all heard stories of porn involving animals (no i havent viewed any!!) but he insisted about the relationship bond between human and animal!!! This seems non-sensical to me!!! Id love to be able to tell this guy that it was a myth and that he was a complete bullshitter!!!

Its called zoophilia or zoosexuality and its not restricted to woman .. men have been known to have intimate relationships with dogs... the name covers animal human relationships but dogs do seem to the most common ...The established view in the field of psychology is that zoophilia is a mental disorder.. sometimes a byproduct of sexual truama or if a person lacks certain social skills or an avenues to express there sexual side...it is a little different to Beastiality because of the relationship the person feels they have with the animal.

No i don't see or have sexual thoughts or relations towards animals .
I do understand people can be very damaged and their way of coping or living in the world sometimes goes outside of normal.. and many people have sexual fetishes that are not normal or can't be explained .. some will keep them as just a fantasy in the mind others will act on them... this type of relationship is not fetish based...its more complex then that
As far as people who have sexual relations with their dogs .. i can see how a broken person who has social issues and gets complete acceptance from there pets can cross this line if they are mentally unstable or completely broken down by the humans in the world. Dogs can provide huge comfort and are loyal... The bond people have with dogs can be an extraordinary thing but most do not cross the line of sexually relating to the animal..Dogs are very accepting and loving creatures rarely do they turn on the owner even when the owner is a bad one...People can attached strong emotions to their dogs and the dog can be a safety net, an unhealthy safety net when the lines become blurred

I am a dog person, and i do understand dogs that can be like small humans.. one of my dogs would check on me when i was sick in bed would tap me on the shoulder to check i was ok give me a snuggle and then go back to its bed and she would do it every 15 minutes during the day until i was well again. If i was play fighting with someone she would fly in an attack the person because she thought i was being hurt (caught us all off guard the first time she did it because she was a small sweet mild nature dog.) She had a very human nature to her and was very very intelligent.. everyone would forget she was just a dog, she understood sign language and had a huge personality .. she would join us at the table sitting in a chair, if we were having coffee and a chat, just like she was one of the humans.. So yes she was a little person ..she was a caregiver even to her previous owner .. I viewed her as my little baby and the idea of having any sort of sexual relations with a dog makes me feel a little sick, because its not natural.

regardless of gender, people who have relations with animals do not fall into the label of sane in todays society... maybe back in the dark ages sex with animals was considered normal but in modern times not so much ..lol
