But I'm sure he said on one of his more recent threads that he measured and he was 8 inches. I can't remember whether he said he measure wrong or he had gained. But if it was the case that he had gained how could you not have noticed 2 inches? :s

From what I could gather he didn't say exactly that. He said that at the last measurement he was 6x5, and that he hasn't worked out for 4 months when those pictures were taken.
