Hey there!
There's been a long discussion and many surveys and researches made around average penis size. Results vary.
Some of you may already know this, but for those who don't this can be interesting.

I'm attaching two bar graphs taken out from one of penis comparison site. The penis size distribution is based on registered users who has passed the penis size validation. They used picture with the scale tag put on the penis. With this picture and the ruler it's easy to verify the size of the penis.

The average penis size among verify members is:
6.4 " (162 mm) long x 5.3 " (135 mm) in girth making a volume of 235


For all members including not verified the average is:
6.5 " (165 mm) long x 5.3 " (135 mm) in girth making a volume of 239

There is over 23000 registered members.

The site I referred to is for everyone to compare with others. I would say most of modest and average guys would want to compare, especially if they don't know what the average is. Registration is free and you're anonymous. Verified members has to pay though, but average for unverified is not so far away.

Note this is BPEL. At least this is clear in comparison to other penis size surveys.

First, thank you for posting this & yes it's interesting.

My only issue is that this is a 'self selected' survey. A compulsory study or one where at least it was based on a random sample seems more likely to be accurate. Both the average length numbers are far too high; hundreds of clinical studies have been done, and they all came up with lower numbers. This is why I voted that this study 'seems wrong'-- it contradicts hundreds of other studies that seem more scientific that all came up with lower averages.

It appears participants are based on self selection--guys with really small dicks tend to not want to be a part of studies that use self-selection, so the average skews upward.

I'm not questioning the accuracy of the measurements, I'm questioning the selection methodology--unless the sample of participants resembles the actual population, then the final numbers will not be correct.

I fully agree with all you say blink2000. Just all I post is based on the particular website which is not aiming for penis size survey, but to be accessible for everybody wanted to be compared with others. And this is why I think the members represent whole range of population.There are a lot more small and average guys than big ones. It is not scientific though.

The conditions under which this data was collected do not allow for a very random sample size. The results are skewed to the larger side. Those who knew they had something to show, showed it. Those who didn't, thought twice about it.

Looked on the website. It seems that you are creating a virtual cock with the measurements you give. I am sure you can post photos as a member but it seems the basic idea is to create a visual image of a virtual cock which is exact to your own. If this is the case then it is definitely open to abuse. There is a section for women to get them involved in the process so any guy is gonna want his partner to think their dick is as big as possible. It seems like a bit of harmless fun but i would not treat it too seriously in terms of proper data.
Who knows what is average, I always thought that the figures you mentioned are about right but its not worth worrying about.
I think we all prefer the idea that average is under 6" as any bigger and it really fuels are insecurities. We all want to be above average or we would not be here.
If not there already, lets try and get to at least 7" by 5.5" I think its safe to say that this would be above average!

The visualiser dot net is a site that attracts guys who like to show off their cocks, whether virtual or real.

Did you ever know a guy or guys who were quick to whip out their cocks and compare sizes? While there are some guys who are less well-endowed and comfortable with it, this site tends to attract guys who know or feel that they have something to show off.

The statistics are interesting, but in no way reflective of real-world averages.

That would explain a lot-- I thought things seemed 'off' but I sure didn't know why. This makes more sense.

All certified members from that site must submit a picture of their erected penis with the scale tag put on. Base on this they can easily estimate the size using proportion. As I mentioned in the beginning to have it clear: measurement is BPEL along top side. I passed such a validation myself, they were correct.
I paid a fee, so I can check with other members and see their galleries and measuring pictures. From what I've seen so far, there is full range of sizes and there is no such thing like self reported size, everything must be verified.

Just don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is only correct and official data. I have a opportunity to check this I'm sharing this with you.
