The scientist had the data the Chinese gave them. Our government as well as others were denied access to the lab and it's data. You always told me that Trump was hiding this or that but you actually think the Chinese government is being honest with the world? Why not ask the Australian government; they have been ticked for a long time. Access denied.
And please explain to me why the Chinese government closed down the city of Wuhan, no one allowed in or out but kept the airport open for outbound international flights only. Oh foreigners wanted to leave right? They were exporting the virus!!!!!

I know much about China and China does what's best for China. Has anyone heard from the Wuhan doctor that sounded the alarm on covid? Dr Li sounded the alarm much to the dismay of Chinese authorities. Funny he died of covid a few weeks later at age 34 with no pre existing conditions. I know just a coincidence.
Look at China's published deathrate. You think that jives with the number of people they have? No way. When my sister in law who is Chinese would call her family in China she would ask about family and friends. They had a little code set up because they know they are being listened to. When she would ask about a friend or relative, if that person was alive her mother would say oh so and so if fine and still works at the factory. When the person she was inquiring about was dead her mom would tell her oh she's visiting her father, a man my sister inlaw knew was dead a long time ago. That's China.

It’s not clear to me, and many others, that Fauci prioritized politics and self interest, but instead has dedicated his 50 years of service in the health field to the fight against communicable diseases. Most of the time people cry about freedom of speech, they misunderstand what 1A is all about. But this whole thing (not just Twitter and FBI, but other SM platforms and other government officials) is a very real reason to be very concerned.

The money was simply given as reimbursement for the processing of legal requests, similar to how a journalist might have to pay a fee for a government agency processing a Freedom of Information Act request. As Alex Stamos, the former chief security officer at Facebook and partner at the cyber consulting firm Krebs Stamos Group said This is absolutely nothing to do with content moderation

Once again Musk is making grossly misleading claims about Twitter and the FBI. And those claims are being blindly amplified to millions by Fox News and the rest of the powerful right-wing media machine which seems to have no interest in the pesky truth and instead has repeatedly shown they’ll contort stories to fit preconceived and erroneous narratives

I think you're missing the point. The FBI (as well as DHA) was frequently flagging content to be investigated and taken down, including people making jokes about ballot counting. For the government to be asking a private platform like Twitter to do something about satire they don't like is totally inappropriate and should concern anyone who values 1A. Especially when we also know that politicians on the left and the right keep threatening social media companies with various forms of punishment and regulation.

And this shouldn't be a right-wing/left-wing thing. Much of this was happening on Trump's watch by his own people at the FBI and DHA. We also saw similar actions under the Biden administration when they successfully pleaded to have Berenson and Humphrey deplatformed and when Collins and Fauci campaigned to suppress 3 leading epidemiologists they disagreed with.

Everyone should be troubled by this.

Also, while it's true and valid that Twitter can and should be reimbursed for processing legal requests, that would be under the guise of 2703(d) requests which are in the coarse of a criminal investigation. Which require a court order. Which requires reasonable grounds. That's not what was happening here.
