hahaha, I lauged when I saw this I liked the read Big Al, but I thought I had found somehing similar on the forum before? Where it was also discussed why our glans is mushroom shaped, and not completely straight. This was thought to be made by evolution in order to "scrape" the competing male's sperm out of the vagina, and actually removed 60% of the competitors sperm if I remember correctly.

I still enjoyed the read ever so much

I'm sorry, but I find the whole theory of evolution quite preposterous and unnecessary, especially in this case. Natural selection can indeed account for this hypothesis which is based solely on observations and speculations. I think attributing this to evolution is a stretch.

The info presented here isn't meant to offend anyone nor is it meant to establish any dominant POV on this subject- it's merely an informative article.

I've been studying human evolution for a number of years now, and while personally I think that some of the theories have merit there is a lot of disagreement among experts on many things and there are huge holes in some of the concepts.

It's disturbing to note that, while "humans" have [supposedly] been around for a long time, there is shockingly little detailed information available about our history. What little we do know is marred by inaccuracies and untruths.

I heard that in horses this shapes exists because it pushes the sperm even further into the vagina, this might also explain the shape in humans. Just a guess though.

Shape plays a role as well. From what I've read, one theory is that the shape is designed to create suction so that any sperm that may be present beforehand would get extracted. Some men have papules that are believed to have evolved from a "brush" type design to further enhance the extraction process. In case that was a question: the article didn't suggest that they needed a big cock it simply stated that female primates prefer it and therefore would be more likely to reproduce with males that are well endowed.
