When I was in grade 8 (many years ago) I did a presentation in history class on the assasination of JFK. That class assignment sent my mind racing and started me on a 15 year obsession with that event (as well as his brother's and MLK's killings). I have read over 300 books on the topic (at least, the book cases in my library are full of them!), have travelled to Dallas 4 times to walk the "kill" zone, read every page of the Warren report, and have researched everything ever written/said about the people involved (that I could find). I am not a JFK guy, I was an event/conspiracy guy.
(I even got myself into other "conspiracies" as well (how/why the Korean War started, Area 51, the Moon Landing to name a few).
In all my "research" the three most glaring conclussions I had come to (after many many years) was that.......1) Eyewitnesses see what they want to see, and are among the most unreliable sources of information (especially in MAJOR events).........2) It is impossible to keep a secret of that size/importance (there are just to many people involved, waaaaaaay to much money for squakers to make, and too many loose ends) . .......and 3) Akums Razor.
Now I don't want to get into a political/power/left or right debate on the subject of JFK, 911, or any other conspiracy's. True theorists care more about the conspiracy than the politics (that way they can stay emotionally neutral). I am going to leave you with these thoughts.
Seriously think of how many people would need to be involved and kept quiet in a conspiracy the size of 911.
Think of how much money would have to have changed hands to pay people off.
Think of how many different governments/agencies would have had to been invloved to pull this off.
You are dealing with thousands of people for something this size....not tens....not hundreds......thousands!.....do you really think not one of those people would talk?? Not for 100, 200, 300 Million or more that they would make from talking....
I had aways been taught (by other theorists) to follow the trail of dead in the days/weeks/months/years following the event . Only one cospiracy "potentially" passes this test....JFK. The dead trail is touched on (all be it Hollywood style) in Oliver Stone's movie JFK and summarized in the book "Killing of a President". If a MAJOR conspiracy were to occur, many minor and a few major players would have to die. Thier secret is a lot more valuable to the "establishment" than thier lives.
Yes, I love conspiracy theories. They are fun, make great conversation, and spark debate. I think we all love them to some degree.
My score card just for fun;
911....Akums Razor, no conspiracy.
JFK....undecided (because of the dead trail).
Bobby and MLK......undecided.
Moon landing....Akums Razor.
Area 51.....Akums Razor.
Korean War...still undecided.
