She Loves Me Not
games with me?

for those that know my situation from beforehand... i've moved on with life.

Breakups are usually never easy... especially when you're the dumpee. It sucks, but it's a reality. I didn't take this last one too well, but I got over it... mostly, for that matter. I really haven't thought about her much. Well, the ex and I share a mutual, neutral friend... our TA from the summer class we took together...

I don't get it. I know Facebook means nothing, but the day she dumped me... she blocked me. Fine. Three months later... unblocks me. I block her. Then I'm told to unblock her. I do. She sees me post on his wall after hers, but no relation to her post (clearly, I'm in NC and ignoring her)... She blocks me again. FIne... I go to look at my friend's fb wall... there's the ex posting away.... she unblocked me again.... What the hell?

I think... I think...

...I believe. I believe it's b/c she either hates or misses me too much to just let go... even if our relationship was only sexual... she is still 'attached' somehow and through her pride... hoping I notice her block/unblock game and that I'll contact her like I did in the beginning of the breakup (week 1 and week 3 post-break up)...

I need to remove myself from facebook entirely.

You just dont' block someone and unblock someone multiple times by ACCIDENT.

i did it, though. i blocked her indefinitely.

it's kind of funny... I remember having a dream about her last night... don't remember what it was about... then I find she unblocked me on FB. fun times.

Hm...

of all the mind games.. i would say the block/unblock game is the most trivial, yet extremely frustrating.

After my break up, i de-activated my facebook.. it cut off any ties or lines of communication between me, her and her friends/family. It was the smartest decision I made at the time.. it prevented me from "knowing things".. which kept the break up relatively clean.

First of all: Facebook is the fucking devil. I shitcanned that sh*t after about 5 months of being on it. I support your decision to scrap it.

Second of all, Dante, man, you are really hung-up on this chick. I can understand that. But you are fighting a war of attrition with your mind now I'm afraid. You're starting to let the little sh*t bother you. This facebook stuff...it's all bullshit man. Do you want to forget about her? Then you need to stop letting this kind of crap irritate the piss out of you. Because, guess what, she's still abusing you.

But you're letting her abuse you now.

I completely support not using Facebook at all. I got rid of it for practically the same reasons as you did. But be warned, if you go down my route, if you go back to Facebook ever, it might be painful.

This is very true... the temptation will always be there. But if you do go back, its a sign of not completely letting go yet.

Life is all about resisting temptations that you know are bad for you, and seeking out good and better things to do with your time and energies. Be strong and do what is best for you. Facebook sounds like a trap for a lot of you guys, I think the best thing is just to stay away.

You have different personalities that poke out and say high at different times, that explains why we desire different things at different times. If you have different desires than you did previously, you might as well consider yourself a different person. Sometimes the dominant personalities or the ones that are in control most of the time are not compatible, but the little baby personalities are compatible and get attached. Like you go take your kid to meet another kid, and all it takes about is the other kid all day long, and you just have to ignore it, but sometimes it floods you when your dominant personality is weak tide.

So you should give yourself some counseling. Give your kid another playing partner.

I think we should all seriously consider what doup is saying. Very deep, emotional and informative post.

Facebook and myspace fucked me over soo many times man.
Hmm.... I think you did it to yourself, it's not the fault of these sites! It's all in how you use them and who you friend, and how they use them. I guess I used to think Facebook etc. were a lot more harmless, it's pretty clear that they they can be used as tools to hurt people as well as for fun socializing. Sad, really.

It's sad that socializing is so often negative.

I think people are also capable of doing greater meanness in the cyber world than they are in the real world. It is just too easy to say and do hurtful things online (from the safety of your own room, sitting safely behind your computer) than it is to do them face to face with somebody.

Dude, I would say just ignore everything that has gone on through FB. My ex kept untagging me in pics after Valentines day, when I didn't call her. She also had a friend untag me from a bunch of others so I literally have 0 pictures of us together. Unfortunate because I do enjoy the memories. I was so tempted to call her and ask why she keeps torturing me (I'm blocked as well... evidentally I would stalk her... which meant that whole 'I just want to be single' thing was a lie and she was getting a new BF). I resisted and have just put it behind me. Ignore the Facebook crap.

To be honest I am about ready to delete mine. I rarely use it. BUT the real kicker that is sending me over the edge is that EMPLOYERS are using it to screen job applicants now who have applied and were talking 79% do. Talk about discrimination... that alone is making me close all of my accounts everywhere and go back the calling people I want to actually keep in touch with, and not 500 random people I have that I don't talk to.
