So I have this bump amongst my pubic hair. 3 weeks ago I had a bump on the roof of my mouth along with a cold. And now this bump showed up around my pubic bone.

Is there anyway to tell whether or not it's just a zit or herpes?

I've done all this work to make my dick bigger just to be unable to use it. I feel like I'm in fucking hell.

I mean it doesn't hurt and it doesn't seem that bad. In fact it seems pretty harmless, but for some people it's awful and if a pregnant woman gives birth during an outbreak it can either kill the child or cause blindness. I used a fucking condom. Yeah. I read that most cases of herpes are very minor and that most cases are like mine.

About the genital kind, it doesn't sound like its nearly as painful as what people call genital herpes.

Once about a decade ago, when I lost my virginity, I got a thing that looked like an "internal zit" just below the underside of my glans where my frenulum begins. It was awful. It would pop INSIDE and puss came out my dick hole, but no pain.

The clinic just said it was some basic "cyst" thing, but it never came back. I am almost for sure it was some minor infection from not washing up after sex.

A bump amongst your pubic hair could be one of a million different things -- a zit or an ingrown hair are MUCH more likely than herpes. What you describe doesn't sound quite right for a herpres infection, a bump is not the same thing as a sore. Anyway, I know you're scared and that's normal . Now, use your head and do the right thing - go to the doctor. Everyone has sex and this sort of thing happens to guys (and gals) all the time, doctors are used to it. Don't be shy or embarrassed -- just tell the doctor what happened and what you're worried about. He'll take it from there. Go ASAP so you don't have to suffer this worry any longer than necessary!

Hey man, for what it's worth I had a herpes scare from oral sex. Three days after hooking up with this girl I developed flu like symptoms and an awful sore throat. These symptoms are said to occur just before your first outbreak.

Until you get checked out by a physician, there isn't any reason to freakin' panic. The bump is much larger now. Very disappointed cause it was shrinking just a day or two ago. I think masterbating has made it irritated. So I've decided that I'm going to stop all PE and masterbation until I see a doctor.

I am calm, but I'm certain that I have herpes. The bump has turned into a large red spot about 1/2" in diameter now. It's right at the base of my penis.

Jacking off pulls on the skin. I usually don't use lubricant to jack off. I just pull the frenelum up over my glans and that pulls on the skin at the base of my penis.

I'm going to go to a free clinic tomorrow to get this diagnosed. I heard that they can drain the fluid from the blister and test that for herpes simplex 1 and 2.

Condoms do not protect you from herpes. All you need is some skin to skin contact. Your pubic bone against her clit would be more than enough to become infected, especially if you make her cum. Whatever is inside of her will come oozing or squirting out and get all over her vulva. Also any type of oral sex is very likely to spread herpes. Kissing is probably the most common way it can be spread.

Generally Herpes 1, is called oral herpes, and Herpes 2 is called genital herpes, but lately cases are being found where this is not always the case. Some strains are appearing in both areas or the opposite areas. So you could merely kiss a girl and get genital herpes. The cases are rare, but the sores do not always appear on the lips. They can be inside of your mouth. If that is the case, then you could be kissing a girl with an outbreak of genital herpes and you'd never know.

Anyway... I went to the doctor today. They said its probably not herpes, since it isn't oozing, but there is a chance that it still could be and I should definitely get a blood test since a lesion swab isn't going to work here. It's more likely that this is some sort of skin infection that will heal on its own.
