What really happens at bachelor parties?

Ive never been to a "standard" bacheleor party but the one my friend pablo had (my only married friend) was bannanas

95% of bachelor parties, in my experience, are really boring. I have never seen the attraction of getting drunk so I usually end up sitting up all night with the groom making sure he doesn't die while he pukes his brains out.

The groom was on the lounge room floor with the stripper/ho ,I had to move cause he was knocking into me.
Meanwhile a bunch of guys including the father in law, were claping and yelling harder, harder, hard ,hard,hard.
Then another time, the localy famous Lana banana; ah never mind you get the drift

I've been to a few different kinds. One house party with 2 strippers and jungle juice. The girls stayed after their time was up and just partied with us. One where we just all sat around and played poker all night drinking and bullshitting. Another time we went to Atlanctic city and I'm sure it must have been a good time but those scenes are missing. As long as the poor bachalor has fun it doesn't matter what your doing.
I've only been to 2 of them. One was the typical bullshit of renting a hotel suite, hiring strippers to get crazy with the groom & others; I didn't like it one bit and decided to leave cause I just found the whole thing to be quite stupid. I must mention that I'm just not the kind of guy who gets off on the whole "gentleman's club" / "strip club" scene, so perhaps others here might have liked it.
The second time around it was actually a lot of fun, cause it was simply a bunch of us staying at a resort in Jamaica for several days, just hanging out by the beach, eating like pigs and simply having a good time amongst friends, away from the hustle & bustle of the NY area.

My experience has been similar to W.M.P.'s . But I do remember one during which it seemed like we hit every bar in Manhattan. Most of the party ended up drunk out of their minds and puking their guts out--not a pleasant scene. I found it stupid and boring. But at least I didn't spend the next day moaning and cursing myself.

The only bachelor party I've ever attended was my own and it sucked ass. I had mine at a local western bar (I was into country at the time........this was a long ass time ago). In any event, it was my brother and my wife to be's 4 brothers. Her brothers just hung out with themselves and didn't try and talk to me or my brother and my brother was pissed because he was spending his birthday at a western bar. He STILL to this day brings it up about how he had to spend his birthday at a western bar. I think they tend to be more of a pain in the ass then their worth.
Now, I did go to another party for a friend of mine that WAS like the hangover. This gay dude got drunk and started dancing and doing his own striptease and ended up in the middle of the living room in nothing more than a purple g string...........yeah, that was something.

It's a right of passage if you will. It's the last night the guy is going to be a bachelor. It's kind of stupid really. It's not as though he could go in a back room and fuck the stripper just hours before saying "I do". I'm sure that stuff does happen but typically, what happens at a bachelor party, STAYS at the bachelor party.

I personally think that's disgusting. Unless that's the couple's thing and it's maturely and intelligently discussed. (Fucking a stripper or along those lines before getting married)
