It's winter where I am, I turtle constantly due to cold, not over training.

I know we have people on this board from cold climates who gain just fine, but that would mean living there your body gets used to it, whereas in milder climates (most of USA) by the time your body even starts to get used to winter, seasons change, leaving you just as cold at the end of winter as you were when it started cause it wasn't long enough for your body to shift into cold mode. I'm just going with the flow and waiting it out but I guess I just had a few questions. is being cold all the time going to hinder gains? has anyone noticed that they gain better in summer? warmer climates?

thanks for any info

Don't know if it hinders gains, but what I do is keep my self under a warm wrap and bundle up when inside to keep my body temperature up. Works pretty fine for me.

I guess in a way it could hinder gains as you would not getting as much blood to the penis which would slow down the healing process but you could try traction wrapping which would help with the turtling and also give your unit some "insulation".

It's bitter cold here too--and I DO turtle more this time of year--and yet, I made my fastest gains during the early winter of 2003-2004.

Whenever I go outside, I do traction wrapping and it does help.

Last week we had few days of -30C. I tell you guys, I wasn't hiding a baby arm in my pants when I was walking outside. Turtling pretty badly. But I don't know if it affects gains. It is just a normal, protective behaviour what a penis does in cold weather. It is not something that is caused by a really hard PE routine.

I lived in Australia last year when I started PE. Now I live in Scandinavia. So I will let you know if I see some changes in gains. If I still gain after coming from a 40C place to a place with -30C, then I can gain everywhere!

Well, I 'm originally from Texas and it's beyond me why anyone would live in those ungodly temperatures.

But I've found thermal underwear to be helpful, not to mention comfortable.

But I've also never been in subzero temperatures. The lowest I've been in is low teens or so. Maybe a bit lower.
