The Bathmate label gauge measures the pressure in mm, or millimeters of mercury.

Before you start, check your penis compared to the gauge to get your initial reading. If you measured at the 150 mark without pumping but them pump to the 155 mark, that would count as a 5 mm increase in vacuum pressure.

How many mm to a HG?

as a general guide, i am 7.8bp, and I would pump to 170 and evetually 190 over 10-15 minutes.

this resulted in ovetraining, I now pump to about 130 /140 for a solid 20 min session no breaks, with much better results in EQ.

HG stands for mercury, the element associated with this rating. The mm stands for millimeters of mercury. The difference between your nonpumped and pumped length should give you the approximate pressure used.

No No NO, please explain how this is possible. You plain and simply can not measure pressure this way. You can measure expansion but you have absolutely no clue of how much vacuum is created. Not all penis's expand the same under pressure so how can you say you have 5 mm of mercury, think hard but don't try and answer, the shovel is broken.

So how much negative pressure is 5 MM?

There is absolutely no way that you can measure HG on a Bathmate, I do recall reading that there is a limit as to how much hg the Bathmate will create but you can nit measure hg as you pump the Bathmate. There is now way unless you were to actually attach a gauge to it and that would most likely ruin the gauge once water got inside of it unless you used a water separation chamber which would prove to be a pain in the ass.

There was some official and independent pressure tests done. The information below is quoted from those tests. The length gauge on the side is just that. It's can only help guess at the pressure, as you can not accurately convert length to pressure.

The bar measurements at the bottom are listed as max allowed by the rubber gaiter at the base.

I can not say any of this is accurate, or how water affects that pressure. But if accurate, 20 in Hg is 4X the recommended amount.

Secondly, the design of the bellows (the rubber part of the Bathmate) does not allow you to exceed the negative pressure threshold of 0.4 bar. Compare this to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration in the United States) which states that any device that uses more than 0.56 bar of negative pressure in Penis Pumps must go through FDA testing and approval before it is allowed to be sold in the United States. Similar rules equally apply in Europe and all around the world.

After pressure testing the ‘Bathmate® Hydromax® X30 Hydropump’ twice it reached an average of -0.5 Bar or -14.76 inHg.

This info taken from a popular Hydromax site;

Hercules and Goliath at 0.33 bar (9.74 in Hg)
X30 and X40 at 0.55 bar (16.24 in Hg)
Xtreme X30 and Xtreme X40 at 0.65 bar (19.19 in Hg)

The penis would take the place of mercury on a pump. 5 mm on the scale would be a fairly high level of vacuum. It would be a rough estimate too since the penis isn't like mercury.
