Beginner Clamping

Hey guys,

I got my clamps this week, am I'm anxious to get to it! I've been doing ULI's (45-60 second holds) and horse squeezes for a good 3 months now, and figured the next step on the ladder is clamping. After reading the Clamping Q&A thread, the articles on clamping and basic beginner stuff I think I get how to do it. I do have a few questions I'd like to ask the more experienced members, though.

I've done 1 session so far, did 2 short 5 minute sets just to get a feel for it. I noticed that the large vein running on the upper left side of my shaft (dorsal vein? I have 2 of these, one on each side) bunches together right above the clamp. I'm sure this is also the case with ULI's, however because my hand was in the way I could never see this. It does not hurt in any way, and hasn't ever bruised or produced spotting although I have never experienced pressure longer than 5+ minutes on this. Is there cause to worry for thrombosis if I clamp for longer peroids?

Second question is; what kind of PI's can I expect? My sets did not create any red spots whatsoever, and afterwards I wasn't as engorged as I get after squeezing. I did short sets, however, so maybe a 10 minute set will create different results.

Third, how would you advise a bigger to program progression? I heard some guys say that one should start with two 10 minute sets every other day, or one 10 minute set every day, and some other suggestions. I know personally that I do not need 2-3 days to recover, but I'd rather be on the safe side than porentially get side-lined for months.

Heat and warm up is your friend with clamping.

I would keep doing squezzes and ulis.

I wouldn't worry about not getting the PI's some people get from clamping. You will figure out how it works and what feels right to you as time goes on. You will figure out how much pressure to apply and for how long.

Heat is always good. I like to do manual stretches before and between clamping sets. If you don't heat, at least do a light "warm-up" set. Never go right into hardcore clamping.

Since I started PE I've always done alot of heating. A 10-12 minute warmup, reheating my sock after 5-6 minutes and usually halfway through I'll do it again for 5-6 minutes. That should be adequate, shouldn't it?

A little update: clamping is going great so far. My BPFL is alot bigger for some reason, it was 5.25" to begin with but now I consistently hang at 5.75-6". I don't expect erect measurements to have changed yet.

My routine now consists of: 1 on 1 off.

10 minute warm up
2x30 second tunica stretch
10 minute clamp set
5 minute reheat
10 minute clamp set

On my first set, I do 10 second kegels followed by 10 second reverse kegels going back and forth. End up doing about 25 reps of each. On the second set and after I release the clamp I do edging for a total duration of about 15-20 minutes.

I notice much more consistency and comfort while clamping that I experienced with jelqing and squeezing.

More questions! Yay!

So it seems that in the past week or so, my EQ has gone down. I also have gotten a black spot of about 1/4" twice in the last 6 sessions now. These are negative PI's of course, and I am going to take 4-5 days off.

I think that 1 on 1 off might be a little much, or maybe take 3-4 rest days every 3 weeks until I am more adapted to clamping.

How many times a week did you guys clamp when you started out?

It solely depends on intensity. You can do less if you dont feel like it or fatigued.

I can clamp 20 times a day if the intensity is low. And then next day 2 clamp sets with max intensity and next day again low intensity.

Dude penis clamping sounds dangerous. Does your penis feel irritated after or do you at least see results from it? I dont know I'm not sold on it

Only been doing it for a month now, so I have not seen erect gains. I do hang fuller and lower.
