If i hold back ejacultation, sometimes i can't finish

I haven't posted in a while, but I use to have Pre E and used this site to improve.
I have been lasting longer in bed, mostly from keeping everything relaxed. If I start reaching PONR, I usually switch positions and the sensation fades enough to keep going for a while. Sometimes, If I keep myself from cumming like this once or twice, I lose the sensation and it never comes back although I stay erect. When this happens I have to work really hard to feel enough so that I can force an ejaculation. My girlfriend gets upset if I don't finish, or I wouldn't even bother getting myself to that point. It can sometimes take a really long time and neither one of us are much into it anymore.
This isn't DO. I reach PONR and would orgasm if I would let myself, but PONR sometimes comes before I want it to. I'm trying to gain more control, but this isn't being in control. It seems to be happening more and more frequently. When it first started, it was after delaying at least 3 times, now it can happen after the first delay.
Does anyone have experience with this?

It has happened, I can't have a dry orgasm from kegelling either, just stop ejaculation, but when you pass a certain point, it does get harder to reach orgasm. I also get this when I don't kegel though, sometimes a drop in sensitivity. Usually it has happened when I start to feel tired, my arousal is high but the body isn't up to it. I think that's what it might be, because when I'm full of energy it doesn't happen, and I can go longer right on the edge of orgasm.

LLN, when you say this happens when you don't kegel, do you mean during sex or do you mean not doing a kegel routine out of sex?
I stopped doing all kegels after reverse kegels had a negative effect on my erections.
Maybe my strategy is off. I either need to lessen sensation further away from PONR or work on my ability to stay at PONR without ejaculating.

It happens when i don't kegel while having sex to stop ejaculation.
So that tells me it's nothing to do with the kegels, just getting to a certain point where you've pushed orgasm away further ( by holding it off or delaying it ) which makes it harder to reach the longer you keep going. And as I tire that makes it more difficult, as I said this usually happens when I'm tiring and want to orgasm or just want to finish.

You definitely need to stay at or around ponr, that builds up control as opposed to stamina.
You develop a slow and steady build to orgasm by doing this.

My experience is a little different . After going some time and having dry orgasms, I find I can dry orgasm easily but wet orgasm is difficult . Sometimes I use driving kegels to get there ,sometimes I don't bother with wet orgasm and sometimes I do a spray down .

I've been trying to progress it, still all I can do is stop ejac with no feeling. Timing wise I have attempted it every way.

OP I get this now, but in a slightly different way. It's almost like the PreE I used to have, but it's not quite orgasm. It feels like it's come out of nowhere and I can't stop it, just like old times, but rather than taking me over the edge, I get a brief and weak rush of energy, then a couple of half pumps/twitches like two maybe three and that's it. Dry, though it's not DO cos it's not really an orgasm. However the after effect is almost the same as if I had, my arousal drops like three or four places and it's harder work than expected to get back up there.

I have also found that after two or three times, I can't finish without the most furious action, and sometimes not even then.
