Get yourself a target, a hay bale, and sight in your scope.
Different yardage, standing, over a rest, sitting. Get comfortable with the weapon,
get proficient. The pellets are cheap, you'll only get one shot, make it humane.
Back to marksmanship of my Army days..just not in battle rattle happily..

Regarding bows, a crossbow may work better for you.The Barnett Ghost should do nicely.

A used .22 LR is your best bet IMO.
Thought about crossbow, too...I just know very little about broadhead weights..

If you want to hunt boars, you'll need something bigger than an air rifle. You piss one off, and they'll charge you. If they catch you, they'll rip you to shreds.

Before you you go out and buy an air rifle, check with your local DNR and see if they're legal to hunt with.

in all honesty(and MY opinion), a man only needs 3 guns. A .22, a 20 or 12 gauge shotgun, and a 30.06. The .22 for varmint control around the house, the shotgun for small game, and the rifle for big game.

Bow hunting whitetail(for me)is magical. The feeling I get after I make a kill, I could never get from any drug. I know it is just me coming down from the adrenalin, but to me, it's my soul and that animals soul coming to be one. That animal just died for me. I have the utmost respect for the animals I kill. I don't take it lightly.

As far as arrow selection and broad head grains, that all depends on the weight and length of your draw.

For trapping, I use a live trap. Snares work good, but not in town.
