Hi guys,

I've been using KY Warming Jelly (orange bottle/tube), and while I like it, at 16 or so dollars per bottle, it adds up. I jelq fairly heavily everyday, and I find that I'm going through one bottle per week. This equates to around 800 dollars per year! I don't mean to come off as overly frugal, but as a college student I simply cannot justify it.

I have tried a silicone-based product, and didn't care for it. I also tried cocoa butter last night which was awful.

Any suggestions? I'm a little hesitant when it comes to natural oils; as I imagine it would be quite messy.

Thanks, sounds good.

I've heard that some natural oils act as a DHT inhibitor. Is there any substance to this or is it merely paranoia?

I use Vaseline cocoa butter. I mix it with the CVS knock off of Bio-Oil, or Bio-oil. Which ever I happen to have at the time. I apply the bio-oil first to let it set in. Then I put the cocoa butter. By themselves they are weak. But put them together and you have a winning combo.

Olive Oil is a DHT inhibitor, mineral oil causes elevated estrogen levels in our bodies (aka, estrogen dominance or hormonal imbalance). It acts as a xenoestrogen, a potent “estrogen mimic”. Mineral oil products also lead to estrogen dominance in men, low sperm count, low sex drive, testicular and prostate cancers.

[Note: Xenoestrogens are also released from plastic food containers during microwaving, leached from plastic water containers, and found in birth control pills.]

Grapeseed oil. It's not as thick as olive oil.

Olive Oil is used topically to prevent hair loss as it is a DHT blocker, so it makes sense that it would block DHT on the penis too.

[h=2]Cleanses and Prevents DHT Formation[/h]
  • Olive oil is a natural cleanser and can help to prevent the formation of DHT, which is a hormone that promotes facial hair growth but can have an adverse affect on hair on the scalp. DHT causes the hair follicle shaft to decrease in size until the hair produced is extremely thin or altogether non-existent. Olive oil can help to prevent DHT from forming on the scalp, thus reducing hair loss caused by the presence of this hormone.

A quick google search returned the links above (among many others) if you are interested in researching this further.

Sweet Almond Oil and Coconut Oil are my choices. I've learned that here and they are fantastic lubes. The coconut oil may be taken internally also for some KICK-ASS health benefits. You can get 'em both at GNC or THE VITAMIN SHOPPE. My choice is the coconut oil, smells good, lasts long, doesn't promote bacteria, good for sex lube as well- I use all the time. :)

I've used about all of these suggestions and have found that Wal Mart makes a personal lube gel (Equate) that is the best and cheapest. It comes in a pump and is like $3. It is also not messy at all. Two pumps and a little water through the workout an you are set. You also get a great grip. A bottle lasts about 4 months! Can't beat that.

Seems like you can't win. It pisses me off that every endocrine disrupter mimics estrogen. PISSES me off.

I tried to find the Equate stuff, but no luck. Canada is a total joke when it comes to specialty items.

Guess it's back to $16 a week.

Thanks for the suggestions.

This is a very good combination- it combines lube with skin fortifying cream.
