Well I have made it threw three weeks. The first week I hurt myself by overdoing it. I only worked out one day and had to take the rest of the week off. The next to weeks following went really well. I'm having fun at the gym, and look forward to going every day. My diet isn't the best yet so yesterday I purchased some protein shakes. I plan on starting those tomorrow after my workout. This is my workout. Monday chest and triceps. Tuesday off. Webnesday back and biceps. Thursday off. Friday legs and shoulders. Saturday and Sunday off. The days that I do workout I usually start my workout with 2 miles on the bike and a mile jogging on the treadmill. This usually brings me to a good sweat before I start to workout. I have yet to start a core routine, but I plan on doing that on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Right now I'm just doing 5 sets of 5. When can I up my workout days. I definitly don't want to over do it again. I just think if I work my chest out on Monday, why couldn't I work it out again on Thursday. Wouldn't that be enough rest days in between?

floor daddy, in my opinion if you are training a muscle group hard enough then there is no way you should be re-exercising it again that soon. I'm still sore in my chest 3 days after i exercise it. You want to err on more recovery than less or you'll be under-recovering in a big way.
Less is often more with weights

Thanks Rockoffox, I will stick with the Monday, Webnesday, and friday routine that I started out with. I have a bad habit of over doing it. I think it's just a part of my makeup. I will slow it down, relax some and take it slow. Thanks for the advise. I guess I just needed to hear from someone else.
