I wasn't circumcised as a baby, but decided to have it done a few years back (at age 25). Most of the guys I'd seen were circumcised, and the fact that I wasn't made me a bit self-conscious. Plus, I've always liked the looks of a circumcised penis better, and I think it's more hygienic that way. Anyway, since having it done, I've noticed a few changes that I'm a bit concerned about:

1. I don't get erections as easily as I used to, and they typically don't last as long.
2. During erections, the head doesn't swell up as much as it did before the procedure. Basically the head stays softer than the rest of my penis, which in turn also makes the overall length about .25" shorter than it was before (I used to be 6.75" NBPEL).
3. A few brown spots that look somewhat like freckles have appeared on the head, and the underside of the shaft.

All of these things have been this way since a few months after the procedure. I'm assuming this is the result of less blood circulating in my penis, specifically to the head for some reason. Maybe some veins that were cut during the procedure didn't heal up properly? I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience, and what, if anything, can be done about it. Also thinking about talking to a doctor about this. I have a hard time believing that it could be age related, seeing as how I'm still in my 20s.

i am thinking about circumcision, too.

the medic i talked to, ( RIP) who got circumsized as well on his own decision said, his sensation has even increased. and he had no side effects.

if you had been doing PEing for some time before getting circumsized, i would have thought that the recovery time, which equals many weeks without Peing could result in a temporary reduction of erection quality...

and how many weeks after the circumcision have passed, until you wrote this post?

What exactly do you mean with brown spots? large ones? Do you have a pic?

Z3xc1, I could almost have written that post myself!!!!

I also have 2 quite small but noticeable brown spots on the glans, plus some smaller ones that have the sort of 'freckly' appearance that you describe.

I had to get circumcised due to a persistent dose of thrush some years ago and have always considered them as a possible result of the thrush (or a side effect of the masses of cortisone cream I'd smeared on!) However, I'm almost certain that I didn't have them before the operation so this is very interesting!

I'm pretty sure there's nothing that can be done about them though.

I'm also circumsized and have a pretty big spot on my dick. I want to know how they look like with you guys .. I always wondered what that spot was but couldn't find the courage to go see a doctor.

My foreskin pulls back behind the head and acts like a cockring keeping my head tight and hard. (see album pic) Do you think that may be why you head is softer?

Hey
z3xc1,my name is Carlo, 21, a Nurse, I'm also circumcised.. The decrease in erection and changes to your penis is the response of your penis to the anesthesia that they have used in the procedure, it will go back to its pre-procedure appearance after few more months because it takes time to heal...Medically speaking Circumcision is the cutting of excess foreskin of the penis, its decreases your chances to have UTIs and Sexually transmitted diseases, and deceases the "foul smelling" or "bad" odor of the penis.
On the other hand, circumcision has nothing to do will penis size and erection quality..

Gents,

I was circumcised at 45 (medium cut) survived it, and really enjoy what I call 'Penis 2.0' :)

Sounds like the brown spots are incidental, you'll get more of them on other parts of your body as you get older, just be on the lookout for changes in those spots, and if you note any, consult with your urologist and/or a dermatologist.

As for your EQ, that could also be incidental: the blood vessels that were in your forseskin were there to circulate blood IN your foreskin, and have no bearing on your erection. There may have been other factors in play at the time you were circumcised.

Try some pelvic floor exercises: work more kegels and reverse kegels into your PE routine, if you already have one.

Another thing to consider is 'retraining' yourself in penile response: it's very likely that the sensation of the foreskin sliding back and forth over your glans during sex or masturbation was the key trigger to stimulation for you before you went under the knife (it was for me.) While edging or masturbating, keep some lube handy and explore/experiment with different forms of manipulation (stimulating the glans, shaft etc.) to see what works for you.

@TheSperminator if you look closely at my flaccid pics, you'll see them. They are barely noticeable, but they are there.

@clarkstr that could be, although my foreskin was never very tight around my penis, even when pulled back.

@Carlo Thanks for the response, but as I mentioned, it's been years since the procedure. I had it done at 25, I'm 29 now, so I would think anything that wants to heal up should have done so by now.

@TLS58 I don't think so either, but I'm not too worried about the spots, more so the erection thing.

@bem It's been four years since my circumcision, and I just recently started doing PE.

@Rockitman Thanks for that. It's somewhat reassuring to know that whatever blood vessels are carrying blood to my penis' head have not been permanently severed. I'll try the things you mentioned.

Oh by the way guys, I tried pumping today for the first time, and noticed that after pumping, the head felt harder, and stayed that way during the erection, even after taking the pump off.

I just started doing PE last week, and will definitely keep pumping as part of my routine. It will be interesting to see whether the head eventually gets harder by itself again.

You don't have to have had a UTI before in order to get circumcised. He is just pointing out one of the major reasons why we promote circumcision. And circumcision only affects the penis size of those who look at their dicks 10 times a day from every angle :)
