Hi everyone,

Background: Im a 20 year old dude who’s had a crippling porn addiction pretty much all throughout high school. Hours a day getting more and more graphic. I’ve been trying to quit for 2 years and only now am I starting to get days under my belt. It doesn’t affect some people but it was addictive as FUCK for me. I was deep in the hole of addiction before I realized just how bad it was.

I have Porn induced erectile dysfunction. No doubt. I (only) get hard when I look at porn, I feel the rush and get an erection. I don’t even remember getting hard without porn or thinking about porn in the last few years. I won’t go deeper into the nature of the addiction since that would take too long.

I realized I had bad masturbation habits the entire time: almost constantly tense/tight pelvic floor, I kegeled to get erect, I basically had a super tight pelvic floor with tons of IKs. As a result I couldn’t last long at all, maybe a minute. I only spent hours on the porn to find the perfect scene/video (which doesn’t exist btw). I think the tight pelvic floor also fucked up my erection health in general.

Now recently (along with quitting porn) I started doing Hindi squats, and reverse kegels. With sufficient rest, not overdoing it. One to loosen the pelvic floor to get hard and to help with lasting longer

My questions are: is it beneficial for to do reverse kegels for erectile dysfunction at a point in my addiction recovery where my libido is 0 and my dick is basically lifeless?

And will reverse kegels help with my erections or work against me given my situation?

So my personal opinion on this:

Take some time out for your penis. I think when you freshly quit porn, especially if it's extreme where you can't get hard aside from porn. Your brain is going to grab on to any stimulation it can get, whether that be kegling or otherwise. I think it's best to take a couple months of distancing yourself from your penis and slowly incorporate kegels.

Stretching is a great holistic method though, look up yin yoga. This way you're focusing on the body as a whole, not the penis.

Thank you for the advice man I appreciate it.

Im not doing any normal kegels at the moment since the pelvic floor is unbalanced. Only reverse kegels and stretches.
