Clamping Question

Am I the only one that thinks clamping only provides value at the initial clamp down? It's really intense at first, but the blood still drains out and even if i'm trying to stimulate myself it doesn't feel intense after the first few seconds.

To compensate I clamp down harder which I think is standard, but I also do some squeezes. I'll squeeze the top of the head to push blood down and try to squeeze the bottom to push blood up.

Just curious if you guys had any other tips/tricks.

Part of me thinks doing manual squeezes would be more effective overall, but I know folks have had a lot of success with clamping so I don't know : (
