I am suffering from complete numbess in my penis (shaft and glans) after stretching. It has been 3 months now and there has been no improvement at all. It feels rubbery and there is no sensation at all apart from if I pinch it. I've seen a urologist who said there was no structural problems. I also saw a neurologist who performed some electrical nerve conduction tests and they all came back normal so he thinks I'm imagining it. I don't know where to look for any more help. Anything appreciated. Very desperate now.

Hi Pegasus, I believe my pelvic floor area to be normally in good condition. After the accident I did feel a heavy aching sensation in my perineum close the the anus area where I believe the internal penis base is tethered to the muscle. I am also suffering from some sensory changes in my scrotum where there is a lack of sensitivity and the skin has become almost permanently slack and baggy.

Yeah look I suspect a pelvic floor issue well worth a check by a physio that does male pelvic floor.

I will do that, thank you it can only help. Would that have caused a sudden onset of numbness symptoms though? It happened instantly following the stretch.

Currently I'm just trying to relax (which is difficult) and take b12 and alpha lipoic acid. The neurological tests were all in the normal range and said there was no evidence of any significant damage to the dorsal nerve or pudendal nerve. That's the only positive news I have had to keep me going.

So if the nerve tests all came back normal you're worried about what?

I'm still very worried that I have no sensation anywhere on my penis after 3 months. The test report stated that the results were all in the normal range and showed that there is no significant dorsal or pudendal nerve damage but can't rule out minor small fibre damage. I will try physio and wait it out, it's pretty tough going.

Nerves are like women; they take their sweet ass time doing things. Nerves can take a year or longer to heal. Now for the worrying you're doing; ya think that helps you much?

I also had problems since last year, I was suffering from a pain in the left side of my penis, got to 8 urologists.

They all said it was anxiety, and I stopped pinching my penis every time, and it got better. Now I'm feeling normal and returned to jelqing.

But I remember it was very real, like I would wake up at night and feel my penis in pain.

maybe it's just anxiety,

Agreed, the worry and anxiety is detrimental to my recovery and general health!

Just so you know, anxiety and low libido causes less sensation in the penis as does pelvic floor tension.

Plus nerves take a long time to heal. I has gynescomastia surgery when I was 16 and my nipples were completely numb after surgery and no amount of titty twisting hurt. It took literally years for that sensation to return (I'm 25 now and they feel pretty normal though I doubt it actually too that long (maybe like 5 years?)) it is also worth mentioning that nipple nerves are somatic nerves, similar to penile nerves.

In addition, 3-6 months isn't a bad time frame for nerves, so you may just be at the beginning. I injured a nerve in my glans from jelqing and it took like 3-4 months to heal.
Try taking ALCAR and Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Thanks, HansTwilight, that's helpful insight from your experience. I figure it's going to be a long recovery path, any sort of recovery would be good though. I'm taking alpha lipoic acid and B12 and will also get some ALCAR as you suggest.

It's been affecting my work and sleep and have lost a lot of weight from the stress so keeping calm and patient is now my priority to help the healing.

B12 is good but B- Complex is much better due to the B6 addition (you want both plus B1 if possible.

At some point you will probably need to try to get over this and move onto normal life. This might take a long time.

Bought some B-complex and Alcar today. Thanks for the advice on this. Going to see a new consultant neurologist too.

Hey geono, being dead honest here, had structural damage to the penis, no urologist really looked my way, in other words they weren't adamant to help. There is a saying in boxing, in order to not get jobbed on the cards, you must take the knockout into your own hands. In this case, the judges are the urologist s and the injury is the knockout. I believe if it is inso nerve damage, there will be a window for it aka an amount of time to be determined. I had rips in nerves, veins, tissue, fibres etc. I was seriously contemplating why they couldn't help me. So I took it out of their hands by healing it myself getting the knockout. Now we can discuss much more conservative things such as having peyronnies after the whole ordeal.

It still hurts at times, yet I wonder if it might come back. Some of the URos I dealt with were clever with the knife aka microsurgery, which if mine comes back I would be willing to explore. #2 I heard good things about shockwave from my buddy #3 of course there's all the orals pills and #4) more important than pills would be physio. #5) I hate shots of needles so the last line of defense would be an implant, highly controversial yet men on franktalk love showing them off. I would say just keep going in the same direction as your urologist as I am no beacon, he is the expert. And the bit of pain shouldn't scare you, it's probably just psychosomatic. Good luck, for the Ed.

Mike, that sounds like a long painful journey you've had. I understand the psychological impact and the need to heal yourself. Similar experience with the urologist, they can't offer anything to me.

I've accepted that this may be the way it is for me and there may only be just a small chance of recovery over a long period of time and as Hans suggested I have to get over it somehow and look after myself best I can. It's incredibly tough at times and thoughts can be very dark. I try to focus on the good things in my life but it's hard.

I spoke to a new neurologist who reviewed my nerve conduction test results and he suggested there was likelyhood of recovery so that is promising, but nerves are unpredictable I think given it has to regenerate over the whole surface of the penis.

Wow, now that's heart geono. To answer Hans, I had lacerations under on top left and right in my penis sheath. I may have fucked it up due to sleeping on my side last night, I felt a "squiggle" on the left side.

The search for professional help had me working with a therapist but the search for a cure shouldn't end there. I have to keep trying, even if I die trying. I still have to advocate.

When I go to the gym, there are regulars with nerve damage. Ms, amputee, penile, I notice these guys have better intentions knowing they show up like clock work at the same time.

It's that structure I crave, I was at the mobile crisis unit last week, life wasn't going how I planned, but they came up with a schedule for me: to start working with a proctor to gym, and volunteering during day. Knowing that I need to daily expose myself and just get out there.

I'm hoping I nip this injury in the bud. Gonna test my EQ as I have almost gotten rid of porn completely

The way I injured it I was jelquing by day, removing hair from pubis at night, which left it vulnerable. Then I watched porn for too long and vigorously, and I felt the lacerations in it while holding the Jimmy in my hand. Scarey. After the left ventricle stayed deflated, I jerked off one more time out of anger. It's never been too old, I had swelling (edema) about 2 times the size, plus my dick was moving back and forth like a pendulum sways. Tons of fukkin pain. Anguish, I'm ready to go back to the decision making board and see if I have what it takes to make it work again whilolisstically non invasive.

I noticed that I've found myself better helped while praying more than usual. Prayer can move mountains. I can't explain everything, but I feel like the prognosis, ongoing diagnosis, is getting better.

May peace be with you.
