Recently I've been doing warm water bottle pumping for my routine. I try to do long sessions with low/mid pressure but sometimes I go a bit higher too.

After my last few sessions - I had noticeable edema and bruising on my whole penis. I think this is because I did too much pressure for too long.

With my air pump tho - I can do a lot of pressure but never get edema afterwards, I just get bruising/red spots if I overdo it?

Why is that? I absolutely love bottling and don't want to remove it from my routine just because of the edema... It usually stays for more than a few hours too, sometimes even a day or so (even tho it subsides with time it's still noticeable).

Any help with this guys?

I'm thinking I should just stick to bottling but go super super light and break my longer sessions into multiple sets of short sessions.

Right now I either do 2x20min or sometimes even 1x30min set.

Thanks :yo:

I get light edema with 20 minute sets. Try a 2x15 minute set and see if it goes down.

To avoid edema, keep it under 20 minutes and under 5 hg.

Pump until you feel slight discomfort and then back off slightly.

Edema is fairly common for many men. It's very easy to get rid of. Just compression wrap the affected area with Tender tape and install a Girth Band or portion of silicon sleeve over the area and usually it will be gone in 15-20 minutes.
Reducing sodium intake in your diet can help, along with using a herbal diuretic.

The secret is to not use warm water ;) I used Ice cold water in < 8 minute sets which produces zero edema

The warm water opens the pores allowing fluid to enter the skin

Do you still get good engorgement?

I use warm water because I use the bottling as a workout + a warmup.

I do it before and after workout so I skip the warmup and combine it 2 in 1, that's why I like warm so much.
