I don't usually read this forum, so I'm not sure if this was posted before, but I came across it when looking up L-arginine (which is one of the supplements I am taking). Thought someone here might be interested. The results looked very promising with a 92% improvement rate:

Thanks for the information I have looked up about L-arginine and I am thinking about taking it. The article you have posted sounds like the Viagra study they did some years ago where men with mild ED would take Viagra everynight (no skipping days) and after 3-6 months most of men were pretty much cured of their ED and the blood flow increase from the Viagra intake was permanent. Although Viagra is very expensive to take everyday for half a year so I am looking into an alternative.

Have you seen any improvement yet from using L-arginine?

My EQ has been good since starting PE. I'm taking a set of supplements including L-arginine that I found recommended by someone who is a medical researcher, and who if very familiar with PE. I think the combined set has caused increased blood flow, and has helped me stay fuller in the flaccid state, possibly increasing the effect of PE ("never let it turtle").

If it were me, I might tend to try the L-arginine/Pycnogenol first, since it may be more natural, and seems to help within 1 month. There were two other studies done, in addition to the one I posted. Here is mention of another:

Natural Viagra | Sexual Desire | Intercourse Satisfaction | Sexual Activity

My Current Supplementation of my 3 week old ED (which is slowly curing) is as follows:
- 1500MGs of L-Arginine
- 3000MGs of Fish Oil
- 240MGs of Ginkgo Biloba
- Dynamatize Z-Force (ZMA+NAC+LPC+Tribulus < This is a testosterone boaster pill)

Before sex - i get a nice big scoop of AAKG, mix it in a small glass of water, and drink it down. I read some article somewhere that only about 50% of L-Arginine is absorbed by your body and the rest goes to waste. AAKG is said to be at about 80% absorbed by your body. What is it? It's is a form of Arginine "specifically, two arginine molecules attached to an alpha-ketoglutarate molecule." ... "Arginine is an amino acid and alpha-ketoglutarate is a form of another amino acid (a glutamine precursor), which may have a glutamine-sparing effect in muscle tissue, leading to more available glutamine. It’s believed that this formulation basically improves arginine’s absorption, thereby increasing your nitric-oxide (NO) production even more. As we know, arginine is a precursor of nitric oxide, which is responsible for vasodilation." (note that no "peer reviewed" studies have been done on AAKG - but the studies that have been done on it are all positive).

This combination of stuff has worked well for me so far. I went from "completely limp" for sex to only needing a little handjob to get hard. Now im just working on getting my morning wood back!

I find this study to be very interesting. And it looks like companies are trying to cash in hard on the Prelox mixture in the article above. I would assume i could just buy Pycnogenol seperately?

I seem to have bad circulation in my legs, they sometimes get hot and tingly. Pycnogenol says it specifically increases blood flow in this area which makes this an automatic buy for me! Wish the health store was open right now lol

General Nutrition Co. nationwide chain of vitamin and health food stores. should be one near you. New chain out there called Vitamin Shoppes. I am personally not entirely sold on the products in the vitamin section of drug stores or grocery stores.

There is a point that should be mentioned here, if you have heart problems or high blood pressure do not take LArginine. Read up on the subject if you have heart disease.

L arginnine can also cause havoc with blood sugar levels in diabetic patients so if you have a family history of diabetes in your family be carefull. Omega 3's are great but they also tend to thin the blood as well a ginko biloba so clotting may be delayed in someone taking both so just do your homework and be careful.Supplements are great but as in all things in nature, moderation is the key!

I could find no negative information concerning high blood pressure being negatively effected by L-Arginine. I found tons of information, from hostpital sites, and medical research sites that said the opposite (that it helps people with high blood pressure).

I could find information that linked L-Arginine to deaths in patients WHO HAD HAD HEART ATTACKS. So, yeah, if you have heart had heart attacks or could be vulnerable to them - this should probably be avoided.

L arginnine can also cause havoc with blood sugar levels in diabetic patients so if you have a family history of diabetes in your family be carefull.

What research i could find into this was way too scientific for me to understand (i couldn't find a site that talked about the research in basic terms). But i did find numerous diabetic message boards where people with diabetes were praising L-Arginine. Apparently it does cause some "havoc" to blood sugar levels, but "it's benefits outweigh the minor effect on blood sugar levels". (quoting what was on one board)

Pycnogenol is said to improve the results of taking L-arginine. It does this due to its oligomeric proanthocyanidin (OPC) content. A better source of OPC is cocoa powder. Mix one tablespoon cocoa powder in hot water and sweeten to taste. It is like taking a whole bottle of pycnogenol pills. Drink it twice a day for best results. You could instead eat dark chocolate bars, preferably with 70% cocoa. It gives a nice little boost to stamina. Cocoa is also high in arginine and magnesium, both of which help with vasodilation.

I have suffered with ED for more than 15 years due to diabetes. Along with a number of other standard supplements, I take 2g of L-arginine and 50g of Hershey's Special dark chocolate most every day. I have not yet noticed any significant improvement in EQ as a result. I would like to try pranthocyanidin as used in the study to see if it has any effect.

I am using L-arginine for some times. Most important is to take it between meals (read an article) because food has lysine in it and causes less arginnie to be in body. I take about 4-- 1000mg tabs daily. some day i cut down, but will go back to 4 per day. it seems to help

If you get headaches from that combo, I suggest cutting down to a half or quarter of your dosage with Ginko :)
