Obviously the people of the human race have a horrific tragedy to deal with today. For many the pain will last a lifetime.

Let us all pray for the minds, souls and hearts of these children that witnessed this grave crime. This will affect them and others for generations to come.

Whatever your faith and beliefs let us take a moment and put out into the universe some peace for those affected and to other troubled people out there that may be considering hurting another person.

In my country firearms are not allowed. You have to pass special pshyhological tests to get the licence.

Very unfortunate. I can only hope for a brighter future in America. I come from a state that has gone through many mass shootings including schools . Its very disheartening to see how much hatred we bread in our society. I send my thoughts and best wishes to those who have been affected by this disgusting act.

Latest news report says he shot his mother in the head first before going to the school. There he killed 20 children and six adults before taking his own life.
Pres. Obama broke down in a press conference after the news of the massacre at the elementary school.

This whole event just made me feel sick to the stomach when I heard it today.

May they all rest in peace !

But then there was that huge massacre in Norway carried out by that right-wing lunatic. With something like 60 or 70 people killed for "political reasons". In reality, a deranged individual can get his hands on firearms regardless to what country he resides.

What is most disturbing over here in the US, is the increasing frequency in the number of killing sprees taking place nationwide. Then there are the botched attempts to wreak the same carnage, where in certain cases the gun jams during the shooting. The deadly intent is still there to kill as many innocent people as possible.

Many if not all of the perps lived seemingly normal lives up till the killings. It becomes increasingly hard if not impossible for the police to thwart their plans, before they are put into action.
I really hope we are not living in a time, where those committing these crimes, are not trying to outdo each other, in terms of overall loss and destruction in their wake.
