Hello to everyone,

I've read many threads here, and the community looks serious and provides really good advices...I would just say something about the warm up: don't warm up your testicles, its' not good for them or at least for the spermatozoids, and no one really knows the long term effects of chronic high temperature to the testicles...So be careful and warm up only your shaft and ligament!
I'm a scientist and so the PE is quite a mystery that I would like to understand, because there is absolutely no proper explanation of how it really works...just hypotheses and from what I know there is no scientific articles talking about the PE gym.

Anyway, I've decided to start the PE experiment a week ago with the JP's routine for 90 days and see how it goes.
I'll take measurement once every two weeks and I will post pictures to share the progress with you.

I won't cheat with my gains, coz I think some people here exaggerates some gains they've got, because they don't take similar measurements each time, or just because they want to believe their dick growths more than it really does.

My BPEL is 7 with an upward curve and my EG is 5.75.

My goal is BPEL 8 and EG 6. If all this really works, I should be able to do it in a reasonable amount of time :)

So here are some pics at the beginning of my PE journey.

You are correct. There really isn't any scientific documentation of the effects of PE. There is some documentation of the effects of stretching on collagenous tissues such as tendon, ligament, and dermis of the skin, and some of this might reasonably be extrapolated to what happens in the suspensory ligaments and tunica albuginea of the penis under the influence of chronic deforming forces.

Some believe that penile enlargement is partially or completely the result of new tissue growth (hyperplasia) of either collagenous tissues, smooth muscle, or both, but I know of no real evidence to support that hypothesis.

So basically we are limited to testimonials and anecdotal reports, and a very few clinical studies of the effects of penis extenders. For most guys the proof is in the pudding and the efficacy of PE is something that every individual has to prove for himself.

I completely agree with the possibility that stretching and deforming forces can act on collagenous tissue and thus help to the PE. It's seems the most reasonable hypothesis. The skin is the perfect example for its ability to extend (people who's getting fat).

I don't know what to say about the tissue growth...I'll check scientific papers on collagenous and will let you know, but for the smooth muscles I don't if there is data on its ability to growth like for the skeletal muscles (biceps, triceps...) but I doubt it's possible. The reason is you can't control smooth muscles contractions so you can't train them and thus there is now way to know if it's possible for them to growth. I'll check that as well and I'll post news when I'll found some interesting stuff.

But you're right redbear, the only way to prove for yourself is to start the PE exercices! That's the reason why I'm doing this :)

My approach toward stretching the tunica albuginea has been to apply a twist in most my execises. The hope is the some of the frictional stress will aid in stretching the muscle tissue. In the least if I can make it more pliable, I would think there would be more stretch during an errection before the compression on the arteries restricted the blood flow.

I'm also on Testim for HRT due to secondary hypogonadism. In theory, the added testostrone could promote more corpus tissue development. I know that has been studied and documented when children have accidental or transferrred contact to the gels.

All I know is that in the 10 weeks I have been doing my exercises, I definitely have both flaccid and erect girth improvements, and I know it's more than foreskin swelling or edema.

After two weeks of JP routine, I've done some measurement.
First I have to say that my flaccid penis looks bigger and thicker!

Second, the measurement have been taken exactly like the first time and even if I have the feeling that my penis is bigger, there is no real change at the moment:
BPEL: 7"
EG: 5.8"

But I'll keep my PE routine and we'll see what happens in two weeks with new pictures!

And more scientific info soon concerning why PE works...

The two most common observations that guys seem to make after starting PE are improved EQ (although this might not be the case if their EQ was excellent to start with), and a larger flaccid size.

I started PE with the hope of maintaining, and possibly improving EQ and didn't expect to gain size (a not uncommon story). After maybe 6 weeks, I really seemed to be gaining erect length, but I marked it down to wishful thinking. It was at about 3 months or so, that there was no doubt in my mind that I had gained a quarter inch of length, or so, and only then did I start measuring.

Girth is especially hard to measure accurately. For the better part of a year I could not document an increase in erect girth even though it seemed that I was thicker and heavier erect. After about a year, however, I started to have measurable gains in girth and over the next year and a half have gained about .4" in circumference.

The moral of the story is if you think your penis is getting bigger, it probably is, even if you can't prove it yet.

I agree with you readbear!

I always have a good EQ (9-10).

I already have a big girth as you can see on the pics, so what I'm trying to gain is length...
I'll keep on doing my routine and I'm sure I'll be able to prove that my penis is getting bigger :)

I'm just surprised of some people who got amazing gains in a short period of time (within a month) and I'm a bit skeptical on that...even if I know that everyone is different

Hooray! A doctor on board, and one with legible writing! I kid! I kid, I kid because I love.

I'm excited by the prospect of a scientific mind approaching something with a more than passing "how to" knowledge and also with the guts and determination to undertake PE, regardless of the many other doctors out there who go onto apparent reputable websites and media outlets to claim that Penis Enlargement is a scam and its impossible to do, tell that to the many people on these forums who have gained, results are what counts.

I suppose I found this thread after deciding to supplement with collagen to see its effects, if any, on my gains, just don't be surprised if I start bombarding you with PMs wanting to further my knowledge, or atleast pick you brains.

I'll be watching this log with bated breath.

Actually, I believe our member here 'crayrobs' is of the medical profession, there's also the article here about the doctor who now works with mecoach. Was his name howard roberts or something? Can't quite recall.
Anyway, good to have you here.

Actually, I'm more a researcher than a doctor... but I know a lot on human physiology (maybe more than some doctors...), cellular and molecular mechanisms...

Anyway, if you have some questions, I'll be more than happy to try to answer them.

I've done a bit of research to understand how PE works.

So as redbear said in this post there is two theories:
1. Stretching of the collagenous tissues of the penis (suspensory ligaments and tunica albuginea) : This is definitely one of the reason why PE is working. By applying chronic deforming forces on your penis, it will stretch the collagenous tissue. But if you stop PE, everything will come back to the initial state.
I've read some threads talking about cementing your gains by carrying on PE even after you reach your goal. I am totally agree with that, it takes time for the collagenous tissues to be definitely deformed (how long I couldn't say and it's different for each of us).
But again there is absolutely no scientific evidence regarding the penis collagenous tissue extension.
Nevertheless, there is two studies who confirm gains after the use of a penis extender use to treat the perony disease. Since this device acts by stretching, it suggests that the stretching is definitely a good hypothesis!

2. New tissue growth (collagenous fibers and or smooth muscles) : This hypothesis is more controversial.
There is two ways for smooth and skeletal muscles to growth. One is called hyperphagy (muscles cells getting bigger) and another called hyperplasia (new muscles cells).
For example, physical exercise will increase you muscle size mainly by hyperphagy (well documented) rather than hyperplasia (there is no data showing hyperplasia with exercise). Hyperplasia occurs generally after a severe injury, because a regeneration of cells is necessary for the tissue to be repaired.
For the smooth muscles, both hyperplasia and hyperphagy leads to an increase of the size of the muscles. That's the case for the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels or the airway smooth muscles (inducing asthma when they're growing).
Thus it is possible for smooth muscles to growth. But to get an erection these muscles need to be in a relax state (no contraction). Then it doesn't make sense that this muscles participate to the gain you can observe in your erect penis.
If the hyperplasia participate to PE, I would rather think it is due to new collagenous fibers, but there is absolutely no evidence for that.

I hope it will help you to understand why what you are doing is actually working!

There have been quite a few anecdotal reports regarding what happens to gains if one stops doing PE. What I have gleaned is the following.

It seems that guys who have made significant gains within a fairly short period of time and then stop PE are likely to lose most or all of those gains.

Guys who have made gains over a long period of time seem likely to lose some, but retain a good portion of those gains.

There was a fellow over at Th***er's P**ce who had made considerable gains, who deliberately stopped PE and waited to see the effect. He had virtually no loss in gains for about 2 years, as I recall, but then started losing a bit.

Regarding smooth muscle, this tissue is known to hypertrophy in response to prolonged stretch. As eldoctor said, it would be expected to function to retract the flaccid penis, not make it bigger. But smooth muscle might be important in the veno-occlusive mechanism of erection (which is poorly understood). If so, hypertrophy of smooth muscle might improve EQ. Furthermore, if there is significant increase in the volume enclosed within the corpora, then the walls of the sinusoids (of which smooth muscle is a major component) must either elongate or proliferate, or both, and smooth muscle hypertrophy might be a necessary component of this. But this is really all conjecture.

This is a reasonably good article on penis anatomy, including the structure of the tunica albuginea and the intra-corporal sinusoids: The Tunica Albuginea

Hey redbear, are you referring to wadzilla? He started losing his gains after more than 3 years of stopping PE cold turkey.
His experiences then led him to come up with the EtP theory, I read the pdf yesterday for the first time actually. Very interesting. While I am not a big theory buff I am more inclined to go with something to the effect of EtP as opposed to GvM.
Eldoctor, it's something you may consider reading, if I can find a link I will post here.

Edit: It's an attachment in post #239, I'd recommend it to all, a good read.

Hyperplasia is well established in animals and is accepted as a method of muscle growth, in humans also for many years.

Dear Pegasus, here is a pdf of a scientific review concerning muscles growth...

You'll find at the section 1.4 Hyperplasia, data from animal and human studies...and the conclusions are that hyperplasia remains controversial...And the authors conclude by:

"The quantitative contribution of hyperplasia to changes in human muscle CSA in response to exer
cise remains largely unknown. However, the study of human and mammalian muscle suggests hyperplasia accounts for, at most, a small proportion of the increase in muscle CSA in response to increased loading."

So it is possible but hyperphagia remains the prinicpal way of muscle growth.

Indeed Gyrta, thick, big head, upward curve (maybe more for my dick) and high angle erection (a bit too much for me, I hope that PE will help me to reduce it a bit)
