Friday watching England vs Australia, Saturday Champions League final Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, Sunday Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix and, apart from that, trying to avoid anyone named Gregory! :p

Yep...most of my misspent youth was on motorbikes (Yamaha FS1-E, Kawasaki KH250, Honda CB400, Suzuki GS750, Honda CB900) and gave them up before I killed myself. Now trying to kill myself in cars instead!

Don't get a TVR! Blew the engine on mine after 6 months from new. No ABS, no traction control, need thighs like a weightlifter for the racing clutch. It tried to kill me several times, even when I wasn't trying!

Mind you, mine had TVR's straight six. If you're gonna get one go for the Rover V8 engine, much more reliable.

That's so funny. I love english sports cars. I dont think I will ever get a TVR here, but when im 75 and i cant get in out of my elise I will get a Aston Martin or something. Was the straight six installed in transverse position? mid engine?

You need to take a look at our "Cars" thread my man!...

https://www.pegym.com/forums/gym/72588-cars-cars-more-cars-31.html#post1108320

Not transverse, not mid-engine, just a racing car with a street legal fiberglass body.

You think that's funny...I took my son to the local video store (yes...a long time ago) in the TVR and parked off the main road on a side street that had a very slight incline. Two minutes into the video store some guy comes running in and shouts, "Anyone own a TVR?" Walked out of the video store to find his mate desperately holding the car back by the bonnet right at the junction of the main road and the side road.

Because the racing brakes generate so much heat, the disks had expanded and then cooled down while it was parked making it roll down towards the main road that was full of traffic. TVR owners rule number one...always park in gear!
