In the jelqing instructions it states that as a beginner, the penis should not be fully erect. When I jelq, I cannot get my penis into a more flaccid, or not fully erect state. He's fully ready for action. Any suggestions or is fully erect OK with proper warm up?

Never jelq fully erect!
If he keeps getting stiff lay off until he goes down and then continue.

Happens with many newbies, not to worry.

You will de-train your penis to obey you, not your hand.
It is quite used to having its own way. Over time, it'll learn !

Be patient, take breaks to let it relax.

A firm but not painful pinch to the glans can help the feeling of erection subside enough for you to continue your exercises.

It may help to do some stretches before jelqing if being too erect is an issue. That has worked well for me.

This is another excellent option- especially for the type of routines where girth training is suggested before length work.
