The Long and Short of Dick Dysmorphia

The Long and Short of Dick Dysmorphia

Inside the mind of someone with penile dysmorphic disorder — an obsession with penis size even when what you’re packing is perfectly average

Eric has measured virtually every object in his house and compared them to his penis. The pseudonymous 27-year-old musician in Norway feels grossly inadequate despite his dick measuring 6.5 inches, nearly an inch longer than the average Norwegian and an inch and a half longer than most American men.

He’s been insecure about his penis size ever since he and a friend found his dad’s porn stash on the family computer between rounds of Age of Empires II and The Sims when they were 12. Porn brought with it many revelations, not least of which was an enduring conviction that the average penis is “much more formidable” than his. “When you get these ideas in your head at such a young age, you never really grow out of them,” he explains. “They’re branded into your subconscious forever.”

Men with adequate penis length who consistently underestimate (and obsess over) their size despite falling within the normal range suffer from something called penile dysmorphic disorder (aka “small-penis syndrome”), explains Judson Brandeis, a board-certified urologist in California. To that end, Eric know he’s above average, statistically, but just doesn’t believe it. Besides, he’s convinced that “average” is too small anyways, so he says it doesn’t matter if he “just tips the scale.” (PDD often leads to upsetting concerns, compulsive behavior, and in the most severe cases, suicide.)

AJ “Big Al” Alfaro — a “Male Enhancement Coach” and my former dick-enlargement tutor who, since 2009, has worked with more than 6,000 men hoping to increase their size — tells me that many of his clients are larger than average, but “just don’t like being on the small side.” Their inspiration for action often stems from a negative comment from a sexual partner. “Cases like this are the hardest to deal with because they’re rooted in actual trauma,” he says. “From these guys’ perspective, they’re not making it up because they’ve actually had someone tell them that their penis is inadequate.”

Real Men Feel: Ep. 187, Emotions and Sex

Emotions and Sex Episode 187, May 19, 2020

Author and coach, AJ “Big Al” Alfaro, visits to discuss that many men attempt to divorce their emotions from sex, thinking that will improve their sex life. In actuality, integrating emotions and sex will lead to the best experience for you and your partner.

“The simple fact of the matter is that the best lovemaking you’re ever going to have is when you allow yourself to become emotionally unencumbered.” ~ AJ “Big Al” Alfaro

AJ “Big Al” Alfaro is a recognized leader in the male enhancement industry. For more than 20 years, he’s helped men in an area where they are often uncomfortable seeking help. He has excellent insight into what he calls “the dark side of male enhancement,” the notion of sexual conquest, and attempting to remove emotions from the equation entirely.

Men need to realize they are more than their penis and that emotions are part of being human. Years of being focused solely on bedding more women leads to a lack of fulfillment and sadness for most people. It takes courage to be willing to feel, and personal growth comes from being open to the possibility of failure.

Attempting to hide or remove emotions from anything, ensures there are deeper underlying issues. There really are no positive or negative emotions, as they all give us information and feedback.

Get to Know Your Mods & Admins – Ujjayi

UjjayiWe have lots of amazing members that work hard, behind the scenes, to help make PEGym’s forums safe and fun! These Moderators and Admins are the lifeblood of PEGym. We thought it would be nice, if we had a “getting to know you” type series with each of them, so all of our members can meet our mods and admins.

Our eleventh interview in this series is with — Ujjayi! Ujjayi is one of our awesome Mods! If you haven’t checked out his – Ujjayi’s Question(s) of The Day thread, you’re missing out!

What goals initially led you to

Ujjayi  – When I reached my 40’s, my morning erections were suffering plus the embarrassment of my wife telling me that I wasn’t erect enough during the times of our love-making. She became frustrated.

What positive effects of PE have you seen, in your life, over the years?

Ujjayi  Hard (pun intended) to believe that I have been at this now for over a year and some change…however the proof is in the numbers. I went from 15cm to 17cm in a year. I no longer hear from my wife that I am too soft. She occasionally makes comments on how large I am now.

What manual male enhancement exercises have you done? Which are your favorite and why?

Ujjayi  – I have used anywhere from stretching to jelqing to Big Al’s Squeeze techniques. I would say my favorites right now are the tension stretch and the squeeze.

Have you used any PE devices? If so, which ones have you used, and which are your favorites and why?

Ujjayi  I briefly used a biker’s hanger yet I couldn’t get enough weight to feel a difference.

Do you do any non-PE exercise? If so, what?

Ujjayi  I do mobility exercises and yoga because flexibility is king especially at my level.

What advice would you give to guys new to PE?

Ujjayi  Patience, patience, patience. As my Dad says, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” You need to allow your body to adjust and grow will happen. The other advice is safety. Do a little at a time…the compound effect in PE is as true as in math

Give us one fun fact members don’t likely know about you.

Ujjayi  I sing in a choir.

Any other comments?

Ujjayi  Enjoy the journey of PE and see the journey as a lifestyle. You will have many twists and turns along the way yet if you are consistent doing the right things, you will reap huge (pun intended again ) rewards.

Thank you, Ujjayi, for your interview and all you do for PEGym!!! Now I want to hear you sing!!!

Interview with Omega1911 – Prize Winner in Jelq for Health Month

million jelq month

Omega1911 was one of our first prize winners in our Jelq for Health Month and was kind enough to answer some interview questions. Thank you, Omega1911, and congratulations again!

You can win prizes too! We still have lots of prizes left to award. Keep watching and the Jelq for Health forum thread for the Week 2 winners! Prize winners are randomly selected from PEGym members participating in Jelq for Health Month and recording their jelqs on your Jelq Reporting Thread. Start jelqing and recording now, for you chance to win!

Q: How long have you been doing penis enlargement exercises, and how did you get started?

Omega1911: First off, let me say this is incredibly awesome, because I didn’t even know that there would be prizes given out for this. I just wanted to help, so that more research would be out there for guys across the world. I have only been doing PE for 3 months. This site is what really got me invested in trying to see how if I can honestly gain a bigger healthier penis. I have only been Jelqing for 3 months.

Q. What is your favorite exercise?

Omega1911: My favorite exercise would have to be between the slow crank stretch and all jelqing exercises.

Q. What new piece of advice would you give to guys who are new to penis exercises?

Omega1911: If I could give any advice to anyone new to PE would be remain confident that your journey will reap rewards so long as you stay positive and really remember less is more. I am still a newbie to this whole thing, and I still have to remind myself PE is not a sprint like I’m used to, but rather a marathon. If you go out too fast, you’re going to expend all your energy and regret ever taking on the challenge of running a marathon. As most of the veterans on this site have said, this is a journey that takes time, and I’m in it for the long haul.

Interview with MrMuley – Prize Winner in Jelq for Health Month

million jelq month

MrMuley was one of our first prize winners in our Jelq for Health Month and was kind enough to answer some of our interview questions. Thank you, MrMuley, and congratulations again!

You can be a prize winner too! There are lots of prizes left to award. Prize winners are randomly selected from PEGym members participating in Jelq for Health Month and recording their jelqs on your Jelq Reporting Thread. Start jelqing and recording now, for you chance to win!

Q: How long have you been doing penis exercises?

MrMuley:  First off, i’ve been doing P.E on and off for a while… picked up on it mid 2010, did some mild research, then settled on the JP90 routine. I used to do it max 3 times a week, because JP90 at the time was quite intense. I usually did around 150 jelqs a session. That was the max. Plus, I never took very good measurements or tracked my progress that much. P.E was mostly just a ‘by the way’ or ‘if i remember’.

It was an on and off thing.. do it this week, skip next week, do it for the next two weeks skip a month. I did that for about 4-6 months, then forgot about it until 2011 (if i remember correctly). It was again an on off thing. Did it for about a month and a half while skipping a week here and there. Thing is, with all this inconsistency, I still made some gains… I was considerably larger than I was in 2010. Without the proper records (or memory ), I can’t confirm it, but I believe I had grown an inch in length and an inch in girth, because last I measured (1.5 months ago) I was at 7.5″ x 6.0.” I attribute most of my gains to ‘newbie gains’.

Q: What is your favorite penis exercise?

MrMuley:   My favorite exercise, at the moment, would be the V Jelq. It gives me some very good post exercise positive indicators. I had never done it before.

Q: Do you have any advice for men who are new to penis exercise?

MrMuley:  The one piece of advice I think every one should know before he starts… It works, it simply works… you just have to want it bad enough.
